Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors from 2011 She was one of the co-artistic directors for Speech of Fire. While Artistic Director of SSC she also served as the company's producer costume/set designer composer/music director and text coach. Though generally leading from within the group of actors, during her last year, she made her debut as an actor (and lighting designer) for the SSC's King Lear.
